Abstract
This presentation discusses techniques for optimizing embedded Linux systems to improve performance. It covers: (1) Understanding the hardware limitations of embedded devices and selecting appropriate software components, (2) Recognizing that approaches that work for desktop systems are not always suitable for embedded due to resource constraints and (3) Isolating performance bottlenecks through profiling and benchmarks to determine where optimizations are needed.
